Battery Storage System was designed to collaborate with the installation of local Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units, aiming to optimize the capacity contracted from the Distribution System Operator (DSO) while offering enhanced flexibility with a faster response time compared to traditional CHP units.

Challenges & Solutions:

Battery Storage System was implemented and proposed to collaborate with existing production resources. This approach was chosen to ensure the optimization of the closed distribution grid’s operation and to yield economic benefits from supporting services associated with trading on the energy market.

The container solution was selected for its compact and robust nature, suitable for installation in an industrial area situated on the site of a former substation. The implemented system incorporates an energy management system that coordinates the Battery Energy Storage System with other energy devices.
